Sound Level Meter
Environmental
SP75
Applicable Standard:
IEC 651-1979 Type 2, ANSI S1.4-
1983 Type 2, JIS C 1502
Measurement Range: Lo - range
35-90 dB, Hi - range 75-130 dB
Measurement rate: once per sec,
nominal
Display: 3½ digit LCD
Resolution: 0.1dB
Frequency Weighting: A and C
Frequency Range: 31.5Hz- 8000Hz
Detector: True-RMS with
independent frequency weightings
Dynamic Range: 55dB
Maximum Hold decay time:
<1dB/3minute with Reset switch
Time Weighting: (S) SLOW and (F)
FAST according to IEC 651 Type 2
Microphone: ½" electret
(prepolarised) condenser
Supply: 4 x 1.5V batteries (AAA
size) UM-4 R03
Dimensions: 217 x 44 x 40mm
Weight: 168g approx (incl batteries)
Includes: windscreen, 4 batteries,
tripod mounting screw-nut &
protective carrying case
This compact sound level meter can be used one
handed or it can be mounted on a tripod for measuring
over long periods.
The Time Weighting can be set to Slow (for normal
use) or Fast to check the average level of frequency
noise.
Similarly the Frequency Weighting can be A or C with
C suitable for low frequency noise. An AC/DC output
allows capture of reading for later analysis (output is
approx 10mV DC/dB).
This unit is designed to give low cost assessment of
noise levels and not designed for professional safety
certification.

Light Meters LM90/LM92
LM90 Ranges:
20lux, 200lux, 2000lux, 20klux
20fc, 200fc, 2000fc, 20kfc
LM92 Ranges:
200lux, 2000lux, 20klux, 200klux
200fc, 2000fc, 20kfc, 200kfc
Resolution: 0.1lux, 0.1fc
Spectral response: CIE photopic
Total accuracy for CIE standard
illuminant A (2856K):
± (3%rdg + 10dgts)
Supply: 9V battery (NEDA 1604,
IEC 6F22 006P)
Dimensions: 190 x 65.5 x 35mm
Weight: 210g approx (incl battery)
Includes: battery and manual
The LM90 is preferred for
emergency lighting applications;
the LM92 is more sensitive at
higher lux levels.
Photometric Formulas:
10.764 foot candles=lux
(lumens/meter
2
)
0.0929 lux= foot candles
(lumens/ft
2
)
These low cost light meters resolve down to .01 lux,
making them appropriate for use in very low light
applications such as certifying emergency lighting.
The handbook gives details of conversion factors for
different light wavelengths allowing more accurate
measurements.
Peak Hold & Hold allow a maximum reading to be
recorded or one particular result to be kept. Results
can be shown in lux or foot candles.
